Chipboard Challenge

Today I was doing some tidying up and came across a layout I forgot to show you. This was one done back over the Easter weekend. It was for a challenge where we had to include chipboard from a certain company.
Enchanted Creations

The only chipboard I could find from that company was this Ballet heading. I have no idea why I even had it as my daughter has never done any dancing. But then I remembered that she used to pretend she was a Ballerina when she was about 2 - 3 years of age. It was so cute. She used to put her hands over her head and say she was a ballerina.

I love the layered look of this layout using lots of different patterned papers. Not normally my style to mix patterns, but there is nothing like stepping outside of your comfort zone every so often.

I hope you like it and it gives you some inspiration to do a layout some time soon.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a scrap happy day.
Cheers,
Narelle

A Sketch Challenge

Another challenge over the Easter weekend at the online event, was a sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch.

I flipped it as my heading fitted in the with the photos that way. So here is my interpretation of it.

I love how bright and vibrant this page is. And see that heading - Crazy Days of Summer - well I have had that in my stash for at least 5 years. I love using up my stash and finding the hidden gems like this heading just waiting to be used. I am even more determined to use up my stash now instead of buying all the latest out there.

Thanks for popping by.

Hold onto your hats....

....I scrapped a page. Well a few actually.

There was a Facebook Scrap At Home Retreat Event...wow that's a mouthful...over the Easter long weekend. And I participated. I managed to complete the whole 6 challenges. I am still amazed.

The first challenge was a Bingo game. Out of a grid of 9 options, you had to choose a row or column and include the three items in it on your page. I chose a row which had patterned paper, washi tape and string/twine. Here is what I came up with.

I haven't bought any scrapping supplies in a long, long time. I already have enough to open my own shop. And I am determined to not buy any more until I have used a lot of what I already have.  So the paper in this layout is quite a few years old now. It is by Kaisercraft and if I remember correctly, this is probably  the third or fourth  layout I have done using this series.

I think this turned out ok.

I am not even going to bother putting a list of supplies I used because you wouldn't be able to buy them anyway as they are all quite a few years old.

I hope you like what I created. Not bad I think since I haven't scrapped in over 12 months.

Thanks for popping over and have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
