Another challenge I have been involved in recently, was to create something mystical. You could use any medium you wanted. For a week or so I mulled over it and had no idea what I was going to do. Then one night it came to me, and the next day I created it. This is it.

Easter Card

One of the craft groups on Facebook that I am a member of, has a card challenge every month. The theme for March was Easter. We were split into groups so the number of cards we had to make was very do-able. This was so much fun to do. I can't wait till next months theme is announced. Below is the card I made for all the lovely ladies in my group.

Strut Your Cuts - Week 9

Today I want to share with you my entry for the Strut Your Cuts Challenge Week 9 over at Scrappy-Go-Lucky. Once again I had none of the carts so had to use the back up list. I really must buy  more carts...lol
I used the George & Basic Shapes cart again. This time though I thought dimension. I cut out the flowers in different sizes and layered them. I was quite pleased with the end result.
This page has lots of Glimmermist  on it, which I love. It made the flowers look very different to when they were cut out. Have a look at the extra photos featuring the flowers.
I will load the materials list some time this week. Sorry, it's a bit late and I have  lots to do yet before bed...lol
Anyway, here is the layout I did. I hope you like it.

ATC's - Love Them

For those who don't know what an ATC is, it is an Artist Trading Card. Google it, there is so much information out there. Anyway, as I said at the start of the year, this year I want to challenge myself. One way I am doing this is by joining in with lots of challenges.
I have never done ATC's before, so when I saw a post on a blog about a challenge they were haveing, I thought "why not?'. I did February's and had such a ball doing them, that I have done March's challenge already and it is only day 4...lol. If you want to join in, head over to the ScrapHappyKat blog and search for the ATC challenge.
Each month we are given a them and a technique. The cards are 2.5" x 3.5", so the space is tiny compared to the usual 12" x 12" scrapbook pages I do. Februarys theme was the letter P and they needed to include paint on them.
So I did a Paris theme, pink and hand painted over the flowers on the floral stamp. I am really pleased with how they came out. What do you think?

March's theme is brown and gold with the technique being distressing. Obviously I used brown tones to the paper and card stock. I added gold with gold kinyglitz. The distressing was done on the brown paper which had its edges torn, then it was scrunched. I added some tone to it by going over it with some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain . Here is my March offering.

Strut Your Cuts - Week 8

I have been very slack of late updating my blog. I do apologise. But I guess sometimes life gets in the way.
Anyway I am back with my entry for the Strut Your Cuts Week 8 Challenge for Scrappy-Go-Lucky.
The carts to choose from were - Mini Monograms, Ornamental Iron, Designers Calendar, Very Merry Tags, and Heritage. I actually had two of these, so for a change, was spoilt for choice. I decided to use the Designers Calendar as I knew it had some clovers on it, and I had the perfect photo using them that I had not yet scrapped. So here it is.
